Lily’s Hummous

We are all hummous monsters in this house and we probably have some everyday. It is very easy to make. This recipe doesn’t contain tahini paste ( we don’t have any right now but you could add a tablespoon if you like). This is so delicious! 

1 can chickpeas 

4 tbsp water

2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

1- 2 tbsp lemon juice

1 chopped garlic clove

1 tsp ground cumin ( we like it spicy so we add more)

salt and pepper to season

 

Pop it all in a blender and hey presto! You can add more water/ lemon juice depending on your preference. 

Serve with crudités and pitta bread. We drizzle over some olive oil and sprinkle cayenne pepper on ours. 

 

 Healthy snacking!
